Device & Technical Information: We may collect data such as your IP address, device type, browser, operating system, and app usage activity.
Biometric Authentication (Optional): If enabled, we receive only a success/failure signal from your device’s biometric system. We never receive or store actual biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Google Firestore: Secure cloud-based storage, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Analytics Tools (e.g., Mixpanel, LogRocket, Sentry): Used for non-sensitive behavioral insights. No journal content is shared.
AI Providers (OpenAI, Anthropic): Used to generate AI responses. All journal data is anonymized before processing. We maintain zero data retention (ZDR) agreements and HIPAA-aligned handling practices.

Each vendor operates under their own privacy policy and contractual commitments to us.

4. No Sale or Sharing of Your Reflections

We will never sell, rent, or share your sensitive AI conversations or insight details or any other internal content. This includes reflections, assessments, or any deeply personal data you provide. We only release data when legally required and with full due process.

5. Security

We use modern, enterprise-grade security to protect your data:

Encryption: All communication is encrypted using SSL/TLS. Stored data is also encrypted by Firestore.
Access Control: Only essential staff can request data access, and only for resolving technical issues. All access is logged and requires 2FA.
Employee Access Restrictions: No general employee access to production data.
Training & Protocols: Our team is trained in secure development and handling practices.
Biometric Privacy: Optional biometric unlock (e.g., Face ID) is handled locally by your device.

While we have not completed third-party security audits yet, internal reviews are regularly conducted.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Account Deletion: You may request deletion at any time. Your data will be removed from active systems within 45 days.
Retention Policy: Deleted data is held for 30 days for recovery purposes and then permanently erased.
